Unifrog
At the Heights Burnley, we are using an online platform called Unifrog that helps students in Key stage 3 and also key stage 4 to explore their future pathways and make well-informed decisions about their careers and education.
Unifrog brings a comprehensive range of careers information that students make the best choices, and submit the strongest applications. It empowers teachers and careers advisors to manage progression effectively and has a partnership with a diverse range of employers and universities to further support students to be successful.
Every student has their own individual log in a profile which they personalise with links relating to their own individual interests. Students can log into their Unifrog profile and resources using any digital device both in school and at home in order to increase their awareness of potential future pathways.
What Can Students Do on Unifrog?
- Explore Careers: Discover a wide range of career profiles based on interests and skills.
- Compare Opportunities: Search and compare apprenticeships, college courses and university courses in the UK and abroad
- Build Applications: Get step-by-step support for writing CVs, personal statements, and job applications.
- Track Progress: Log experiences, set goals, and build a digital portfolio of achievements.
For Parents and Carers
Unifrog isn’t just for students! Parents and carers can also access Unifrog. This flexible approach allows parents and guardians to get involved in their child’s careers journey.
Please contact the school for your child’s login details.
The Eight Gatsby Benchmarks
We follow the Gatsby Benchmarks to help us achieve this and more information on these can be found here Gatsby Good Career Guidance.

Measuring the impact
We use the Compass+ tool to measure the impact of our work and keep a track of which students have accessed each opportunity. This tool also keeps all the data needed to track our students in their journey beyond school, as required by the Gatsby Benchmarks. This information is available for our students to access should they need it.
Our careers team is accountable to our Governors, Senior Leadership Team and we follow the CDI Code of Ethics to ensure our practice is diverse and inclusive.
