Our school day commences at 09:00. Students may arrive from 08:30

The curriculum aims to create a safe environment where students learn to safely and effectively use appropriate tools, equipment, techniques and processes for the job at hand; including adhering to health and safety at work. To foster pride, enjoyment, satisfaction and purpose in designing and making things. To offer a broad and balanced approach to learning, ensuring relevance, challenge, progression and continuity in activities which prepare students for the world of work.

This qualification will develop students’ skills and understanding of the various sectors within the construction industry so they can find their niche. It provides equal opportunities for students to develop their social awareness as well as an awareness of the working environment of the construction industry.

Students are introduced to safety and security in construction, practical construction skills and planning construction projects.
