Parents

Parental Engagement Statement

At The Heights Burnley, we understand that parental and carer support is crucial in helping young people prepare for their future. Our careers programme is built on strong partnerships with families, recognising that every student’s journey is unique.

We actively involve parents and carers in careers education by:

  • Communicating regularly about students’ progress, aspirations, and next steps.
  • Offering guidance and support around post-16 options, including college, apprenticeships, and employment.
  • Inviting families to careers events, transition meetings, and workplace interviews.
  • Encouraging parents and carers to share their own experiences and support mock interviews or work-related learning.

Our aim is to work closely with families to raise aspirations, build confidence, and ensure that every student leaves with a clear plan for a positive future.

If you would like to support our school with career opportunities such as employer talks, work experience, business visits please complete this form parental engagement letter for careers in school.docx   or alternatively, email our careers lead Mrs Sneddon nsneddon@heightsburnley-ept.com.
